How Grocery Shopping Works

We are open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:30am to 12:00pm to provide a full shopping experience where guests can choose all their foods. This model fits dietary needs, reduces food waste, and provides clients with more dignity to select food items they need​.

Guests can access the pantry every 4 weeks for a 3 to 5 day supply of food. Typical grocery pickup includes choices from multiple fresh produce items, refrigerated proteins and dairy, breads, pastas, canned fruits and vegetables, beans, soups and more.

 

No appointment necessary. Identification (ID) is required for all family members.

The People’s Pantry alleviates hunger across Monroe County by providing a full grocery shopping experience to individuals and families who need food.

Donations go directly toward purchasing food for the pantry, and ensuring the pantry can serve hundreds of families each week.
